The first iteration of shoes within the Re:connect collection, called HERE, takes a step in a new direction for the Vasque brand, bringing the benefits of the outdoors to the familiar places around you – be it your neighborhood park or trails.

“As we approach 60 years of creating purpose-built footwear for the outdoors, we are thrilled to launch a new category that blurs the line between outdoor performance and outdoor lifestyle. The Re:connect category, and all-new HERE product family, represents our initial approach to making outdoor shoes for people who want an ultra-comfortable, high-performing light hiking shoe that they can wear from town-to-trail and back,” said Bryce Wernsman, President of Vasque.

As Vasque’s most versatile designs to date, the HERE product features lightweight, sustainable materials that maximize comfort and provide a reinvigorating experience with every step and allow consumers to easy go from town to trail.

“We’ve been making high quality hiking footwear for almost 60 years. We are experts in fit and finish, and the opportunity to take our expertise in traditional hiking product and apply that to a new category was an exciting challenge for the brand and the product creation team,” said Amy Peck, Director of Product Creation for Vasque.

EVERYDAY PERFORMANCE

The first shoe in the Re:connect collection is called HERE, the shoe that grounds you in the present moment.

The HERE product is designed to breathe with a 100% recycled polyester upper mesh. It is built on an anatomical last, wrapping around the foot to provide a better fit that allows you to move. This shoe is truly designed for everyday; whether that’s urban trekking or an after-work hike, including aggressive outsole lugs for enhanced micro multi-directional traction so you can easily go from road to trail.

There are three colorways available on the HERE shoe, provided across both men’s and women’s lasts as well as mid and low heights, giving consumers many buying choices based on their personal style and needs.

“When determining which categories to enter, our product team starts with identifying consumer needs and demands. We want to provide a solution for all outdoor consumers, whether someone is hiking a 14,000-foot mountain or visiting their neighborhood trails, we want to offer the performance footwear they need to accomplish their goals.
